Want a British Pub experience without having to leave our quaint, beautiful city? On the edge of downtown, located on Jefferson Street, Savannah welcomes a new addition: The Little Crown by Pie Society.

After almost a year of envisioning The Little Crown, renovations that began in September of last year are finally complete. The authentic British pie shop underwent complete transformation and relaunched in the City amongst the new COVID-19 normal. The idea was to create a fun and relaxed pub-like environment complete with a British experience.

It’s fantastic location in Savannah City Market makes the to-go cocktails even more popular amongst the new regulations in a to-go cup friendly city. The location offers a full bar with a British twist. Cocktails are house crafted with British themes with names such as “Dr Who” and “Gandalf the Grey,” but also include pub ales, wine and liquor.

The menu emphasizes authentic recipes from Staffordshire, England inspired by the owner’s hometown. Meat pies, desserts, pastries and sausage rolls.

To top it off, enjoy the aesthetic! This British-inspired decor is infused with deep blues and gold colors. The renovation has allowed for an extension for two new rooms: The Conservatory and The Snug. Local artwork and unique design features amplify the feeling of comfort for guests to enjoy. Both the rooms seat 6 to 8 guests, plus additional high top seating. The rooms are available for private rental; this is a great option to allow for better Social Distancing for families or smaller groups.

The Little Crown is currently serving at 50% capacity following with regulations to keep guests safe. Being a small venue eliminates the danger of being around large crowds. New hours include openings until 11 p.m. on weekdays and at 1 a.m. on weekends.

Founded in 2013 by a family from England, the Wagstaffs developed a British Pie Shop & Bakery that serves high quality hot meat pies and dessert pies, pasties, quiches, shortbreads and cakes. The British Pie Company ships goods nationally, serves the Pooler market at its second location on Canal Street and launched it’s food truck last year.
