Justine Ferreri, originally from Arumagawa, Japan, but a true Carolinian by heart, began her artistic career in the performing arts before stumbling upon sculpture. Her journey started with creating papier-mâché figures for her restaurant, Justine’s, in Wilmington, NC, which led to commissions and gallery exhibitions. Over time, she transitioned from polymer clay to her current medium, stoneware. Her sculptures reflect her Japanese heritage, love for dance and coastal living. Inspired by Sci-Fi, mythology and personal stories, Justine creates imaginative pieces that evoke emotion and spark conversation.
